Visit Jamaica for a great family beach vacation
A visit to Jamaica is sure to provide a terrific family vacation experience with its beachfront accommodations, reggae music and beautiful sights to see. For a beach vacation, Jamaica is a prime location. Seven Mile Beach, in Negril, is probably the most famous beach; but Doctor’s Cave Beach in Montego Bay is also quite popular because of the supposedly restorative waters there. There are a wide variety of family resorts on Jamaica that are perfect for a family vacation, especially in the Montego Bay and Ocho Rios areas. These family resorts offer any services and activities to keep you entertained throughout your stay.
However, there is even more entertainment, sights and tours that you don’t want to miss out on your Jamaica family vacation, like Dunn’s River Falls Park which is near Ocho Rios. Not only is the park beautiful, the whole family will enjoy the opportunity to climb the falls.
Green Grotto Caves is another cool place to visit for families. It’s located on the northern coast between Ocho Rios and Montego Bay. These caves are believed to have been a refuge for runaway slaves in the 1700s. Today, your kids are sure to enjoy the chance to explore the area with its unique rock formations.

Getting to Jamaica is as laid back as being there. Flights from all over the United States fly directly into the International Airport in Montego Bay. Once you arrive, getting to your resort in the Montego Bay area take less than 30 minutes, while the trip to Ocho Rios and Negril are considerably longer. Always ask your resort if they have an airport shuttle, many of them do.
