Cabo San Lucas plays host to an abundance of family vacation adventures
Cabo San Lucas Mexico has everything you need for the perfect family vacation. If Cabo San Lucas has just one hallmark, it has to be Land’s End. This stone arch rises majestically from the sea at the southern-most tip of the Baja Peninsula where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean. Be sure you take advantage of one of the tours, during which you’ll be treated to not only the arch, but the opportunity to see the amazing rock formations, reefs and caves up close. You’ll also most likely see the seals which use the protruding rocks to sun themselves upon.
For a bit of history, the city of Cabo San Lucas has a number of monuments and religious landmarks such as the Church of San Lucas Iglesia de San Lucas. This still active church is nearly 300 years old, but it’s been well maintained so many of the original architectural features still exist today. There’s also the ruins of the 100-year-old El Faro Viejo (the Old Light House), and Casa (castle) de la Cultura, which overlooks the city.
The beach next to the Old Lighthouse is known to host the nests of sea turtles at mating time; and during the winter, the warm ocean waters are home to pods of whales that give birth to their calves here.
