The Bahamas is a Family Vacation Paradise
Breathe a sigh of relief because what is better than a Bahamas Family Vacation? and you are not that far from it either. There are two main islands that are typically visited when people choose a Bahamas vacation – Grand Bahama Island and New Providence Island. Grand Bahama Island has a few beaches that are particularly good for family vacations. Gold Rock Beach, which is in Locayan National Park is fairly secluded and is stunning at low tide. An added attraction is that families can easily explore this entire area on an eco-tour, on bike or skimming the water in a kayak. Lucayan Beach is also on Grand Bahama and is best known for water sports. Just about anything water-related that your family wants to do can be accessed here. Finally, there’s Xanadu Beach which is probably the island’s most popular beach but it’s also the most crowded. It is situated so that it’s sheltered from waves making it perfect for children to play in the gentle surf.
The Bahamas’ beaches are definitely a main attraction for this family vacation mecca. With miles of white or pink sand it’s easy to see why. Cable Beach on New Providence Island is a great place for families because of the calm waters and the fine white sand. However, because of these very things, this beach is very popular.
A Bahamas Family vacation offers a wide variety of kid-friendly activities and many of the resorts are family friendly. In addition, the islands offer a lot of great activities that will keep the whole family entertained, including swimming with the dolphins, snorkeling, hiking, and swimming. If you are done with swimming or the many water sports there are plenty of things to do on land such us; bird watching, golfing, island tours, shopping for unique native Bahamian crafts from the straw markets you could even catch up on a spa treatment or two.
